Because it’s more fun to have a team to root for, though easier on the blood pressure not to care too much, for the next round, I’m going to cheer for the Avalanche over the Sharks, because Colorado mountains are lovely, Boston over Columbus, 'cause I’m from the east coast, Islanders over the 'Canes (I hope) or the Caps, because the Islanders fan on the board is so charming. Stars over Blue Notes, because I already promised to “go Stars!”.

I’m with you on the Canes over the Caps for sure. I like Boston better than Columbus, but I have to think about the Isles next round, assuming they get past the Canes/Caps. I think Columbus would be easier to beat, but after what they did to the Bolts, I’m not sure.
As far as the West goes, I don’t really know those teams, so I’ll go with your picks.
Certainly some unique rooting going on there, and yes, probably easier on the blood pressure. Five seasons from now when the Canucks get in the play-offs again, take note of the lovely North Shore Mountains over Vancouver. 
Wow I’ve never seen 4 goals scored on a major, play-offs or no. Quite the game when neither team you’re rotting for still has you on the edge of seat and yelling. Bonkers.
