You were locked in once you made your one waiver move. The only reason that I’m so far ahead is that none of my top players slumped or had significant injuries. It was mostly luck; had somebody snagged Nabokov ahead of me I probably would have ended up with Ray Emery, which would have more than blown away my lead over Kid_A.
If we do this again next year we might want to think about allowing more roster moves to take the luck more out of the equation.
I’ve played in the sportsnet.ca playoff pool for the past few years. I can definitely set that up if people are interested in it.
You choose 1 centre, 2 wings, 2 defensemen and 1 goalie for the first round, then you can choose again for the second round and one more time for the conference finals and the Stanley Cup finals.
I haven’t played in a playoff pool on any other websites so I can’t compare.
Maybe next season, we should consider having trades if any player on your team ends up on the IR. The season ending injuries to Sourrey and Bergeron (combined with the dog goalie that goes by the name of Mason) pretty much killed any chance of competing against the rest of the pack. Anyways, it was fun nonetheless to watch.
