NHL October 2009

I thought that on Center Ice you always had the option to choose the home or away feed on different channels.* While it wouldn’t be a dealbreaker, for Pens games I do like my homer broadcasters n’at.

  • It’s possible that this is only true for Center Ice on certain cable providers. I think the person who told me this has DirectV or Dish Network, but I’m not sure.

Comcast just finished up a free trial of CenterIce and they had both the home and away feeds for pretty much every game. There were a couple that didn’t and I’m not sure why.

Just a guess, but maybe for some games, there is no visiting or home feed to broadcast?

Makes sense. I didn’t look into it or anything.

The Kings lost today during the shootout. In their defense, Nabokov was amazing.

The Pens looked good last night.

Sid is on a roll and Kunitz finally scored.

The Canes did not look good last night. At this rate, the Leafs are gonna pass them.

I really liked the Nashville/Chicago game tonight. 0-0 and 1-0 for most of the night until a shorthanded Nashville goal shot into an empty net. A bad goaltender interference call against Nashville gave the Blackhawks a 6-4 power play once the Blackhawks pulled Huet after they went on the power play with around 1:30 left in the game.

NHL gamecenter is being very strange tonight. They’re showing the Red Wings/Oilers broadcast, but the broadcast is like you’re watching a game on an HD channel which isn’t being broadcast in HD. You can see the Fox Sports Detroit black bands on each side of the broadcast!

Well, Auld isn’t the answer for the Stars. Of course, fans of about 20 NHL teams can probably say they don’t like their goaltender. Turco is out with the flu. Yeah, he’s Swiss Cheese, but Auld has shown why he’s a backup and not starting. Gustavsson probably would have been better.

6-1:eek:, and the Leafs are a shootout win away from tieing us for 30th.:eek:

Don’t worry, the Leafs lost. All is right with the world.
