So is anyone planning on attending the NJ Metal Fest this up coming weekend? I know we’ve got a few metal heads around here.

I’m going for both days, I’m also planning on getting a bunch of stuff signed. I’m really looking forward to Virgin Steele, Manowar, Rob Rock, and really want to check out October 31, Saxon and Diamond Head.

So if anyone’s planning on going we can get together and have a couple of cold ones. I’ve also got an extra ticket, two day, if someone is intersted, it’ll be cheap too.

I hadn’t heard about this before. I’d love to go, but I recently became unemployed and can’t afford to go to a metal show. I’ll just have to live vicariously through your review - you will review the show here, right?

Dude you really want to go? I’ve got that extra ticket that is doing me NO good at all right now. I can get it to you cheap. Heck I’ll even let you know up front that I only paid $40 for it for a two day pass. They had a special a few months ago and I got them. The only problem is that the GF that was supposed to go with me riped it pretty good. I taped it back together and e-mailed the sponser and they didn’t know if they would take it or not. Since it says you’re from NJ it can’t hurt to try. I’m gonna shoot you an e-mail too.

If I lived in the area, I’d be there for sure. I’m surprised that The Crown and Arch Enemy have such low billing. You would be well advised to catch their set. Two of the best bands out today IMO.

The only thing I dont understand about these big-ass festivals is it seems they will be running several stages and most bands probably only get a half hour. Doesnt seem like it would be as fun as having less bands with more stage time…

Thanks for the suggestion, I’m still trying to figure out who I want to see. I’ve only picked about 10 bands so I need to pick some more. I’m takinig my camera as well so I should be doing a review of the show. Also taking a lot of stuff to get signed. I’m also hoping that they have CDs cheap of some of the better bands so I don’t have to remember to buy them.
