I am going to host another Dopefest at my house as a Barbeque. I am looking at Saturday June 13th this year. We have one special guest, **Elendil’s Heir **is going to be in for the weekend.

I am convenient to two Parkway exits (of course). Maybe we can figure out a weekend and gauge interest. I would hope to see people from NJ, NY and Penn and anywhere else of course but I am about 45 minutes on a good day from Brooklyn and 1.5 hours from Philly. ;

  • We are kid friendly and this might make things easier.
  • Last four times we managed some carpooling and train station pickups. I am sure we could do so again.

I have to call relatives and see just when in June they are visiting. Then again, they may want to go to a Dopefest.

I forgot to mention, I’ll have Bass Ale, Diet Sodas, Coke, Juice Boxes for the kids, Water, Hamburgers, Hotdogs, Sweet Italian Sausages and Rolls as the main central fare and then I will fill in around what ever get brought. (Translated, same as every other one.)

(This is when the groups function would prove very useful)

Augh! It looks like my perfect attendance streak might be at an end. You’ve picked a day that coincides with a Major Event Of Earth-Shattering Importance in Philly (thread forthcoming). Hmmm…gonna have to see.

I should be back on US soil by then but I don’t think I’ll be released back into the wild by the 13th. If I am a free man I’ll try to make it. If the answer is yes I probably won’t be able to give much warning.

Well, I chatted with my family and they won’t be in til the 30th so I’m definitely free. I need a ride though.

Too early for me to say. I’ll be there is possible but I’ll probably be moving to another part of New York in June and might not be in the area.

I might be free then, as my job doesn’t get into high gear until the end of June. What landmark should I use for judging the time to drive?

I think Jim is now spending a lot of his time elsewhere so I’ll answer you. He lives close enough to this to give you an idea.

Sorry, I was away from the computers most of the weekend and Loach did provide the perfect landmark for judging distance.
