Jersey Area Dopers: Dopefest Saturday May 20th at 2pm.

So, if there is an interest I am willing to host a Dopefest at my house as a Barbeque or help plan one out.
I am convenient to two Parkway exits (of Course). Maybe we can figure out a weekend and gauge interest. I would hope to see people from NJ, NY and Penn and anywhere else of course but I am about 45 minutes on a good day from Brooklyn and 1.5 hours from Philly.
Ideally, I would like to shoot for pre-Memorial Day in May as summer Traffic gets horrible.
We are kid friendly and this might make things easier.
I am very open to an alternate location, please suggest away.

I have verified that it was okay to start this thread with TubaDiva.

May 14th is Mother’s Day, so I assume that weekend is out for most people. What’s the weekend of May 20-21 look like y’all?

I’ll have to wait until my wife gets home and tells me where in the heck she put the family scheduling book, but I’m pretty sure 5-20/21 is clear for us.

I can attest to the fact that Jim and family’s yard has DopeFest written all over it. Lotsa nice ground. Let’s make this happen!

Turns out I’m going to Ohio for two days, the 18th and 19th, but will be back late that Friday night, so the 20th looks okay for me.

To see if we can pull in a few more Jersey dopers who may run vanity searches, I culled a list:

Draelin, Eve, Cheesesteak, Fat Chance, pantom, GWVet, Green Bean, crowmanyclouds, Wolfian, Annie-Xmas, The Scrivener, NinjaChick, LavenderBlue, GilaB, Wilson and Philster – get in here!

I know there a few others that I’m missing, but I didn’t find them in my quick search. If I come across them, I’ll give a mention.
Hmmm…and in retrospect, Eve ain’t gonna be able to run a vanity search. Ah well…

I would love to do a NJ Dopefest, I’ll bring pie, salad, whatever you need. (I can cook). I’ll be in Maryland for a couple weeks, I’ll be back arone 5/6 or so. I’d love to meet everyone. The weekend of 5/21-22 is good for me.

Don’t forget Jersey boy Meros, who doesn’t post much any more but who’s a lot of fun at parties.

Other Philly folks: ryobserver, and, damn, there was someone I got into a long aside with about coming to a dopefest, and now I can’t remember who it was.

Might be a little far for the Central PA crowd (MsRobyn, Airman, danceswithcats, jayjay, supervenusfreak, engineer computer geek et al.

And I’m hoping my pal pseudotriton ruber ruber might be able to come.

Since I will have been gone the Thursday and Friday before, I’m not gonna try to cook – pencil me in for soda, paper goods, something like that.

We have two soon to be Princeton Students, I wonder if they are in state already. One was Athelas.
I wonder if **Marley23 ** would come down from the city. **Anyrose ** is out on Long Island, so it is probably too far. **Voyager ** might also be in the city, I don’t remember well.

I’m in central NJ, and I’d like to attend, but I’ll be out of town the middle two weekends in May, and the first two in June, so I’m unlikely able to make it.
