No !! I will not Give you Free food.

“So, now she has no breakfast, and has to look elsewhere for her drugs. Sometimes the story ends well.”

Remind me never to let you tell my kids bedtime stories.

First of all, please don’t include me with anyone who is saying that woman’s behavior should be excused, or that she made an innocent mistake, or anything of that nature. I do not speak for Dantheman, for example, and he does not speak for me, so I would thank you not to lump us together.

Second of all, I will repeat the point I made earlier, because it doesn’t seem to be sinking in. It is possible for a person to be mentally ill AND try to “run a scam” AND be a drug addict. Those are NOT mutually exclusive propositions.

Third, it is a well known fact that a large number of “street people” of this type, e.g. who behave inappropriately, yell, have outbursts of anger for no reason, or anger that is out of proportion to the situation; ARE mentally ill. And as Dantheman pointed out, being mentally ill yourself does not make you an expert; so unless you have evidence to the contrary, you need to accept the fact that this sort of antisocial behavior is often a symptom of mental illness. Just because these people aren’t “nice” doesn’t mean they don’t have a problem.

So, while I certainly don’t think anyone should be entitled to a free meal from McDonald’s just because they want it, I also am dismayed by the attitude of those of you who seem to want to revel in this woman’s misfortune, and gloat about the fact that she went hungry.

Do the employees of this restaurant get to determine who and when charitable contributions are made? They have the right to change the company policy without regards to management notification? They do not have the right to gloat because they were there and you were not?

Gloating is a basic human right, right? Being assholes is a basic right, right? WTF is everybody got their panties in a wad for? It was just an story of what they saw, thought. Right?

Bwahahahaha…cough, cough… sorry…
