For them, it’s not about the truth about what he says - or what any crazy GOP leader spews.
It’s about stoking the rage, firing up the crowds, fleecing the rubes and owning the libs. That’s all. That’s the entirety of the GOP policy platform now.

He’s actually been claiming that (Dems want to murder full-term, healthy babies after birth) for quite a while. He said that the baby was wrapped “beautifully” and then the doctor took it away to murder it. Really.
It made me so angry (and still does) because Republicans in general have been riding this “partial birth abortion” and “late term abortion” train for years. “Partial birth abortion” isn’t even a medical term, just something used to scare and horrify voters into taking away women’s rights to health care so they can be miserable and die like god intended.
Most late abortions are very difficult to even get and are done for very serious medical reasons, not because the mother got bored in the 8th month as Trump et al would have you believe.
Feel the blood pressure going up! Must stop thinking!
If only bodily autonomy could have been in an amendment, then every little thing they tried would be met with the same slippery slope arguments gun control receives.
Or even within a day of birth.
Such an amendment probably would have interfered with the slavery our country was founded on.
Well, it would have been bodily autonomy for white landowners, at least.
