Speaking of BSMF, I am taking him with me to the Padres game on Saturday. My company has a suite which I guess is kind of fancy - the ballpark is new, so I have yet to see these things. Food will be provided, and we’ve got free tickets. Not a bad gig.
Is it time to go home yet? Sadly no. West Coast time is only 1:30. Dang.

Actually, the work on that part was finished almost 2 years ago - here are some before and after pics along with some currently not-quite-finished parts of the remodel. I’ve posted these before, but obviously before you joined the cool kids, so I’ll take advantage of the chance to show off again… 
FCD called about an hour ago - he was just leaving Hunt Valley, which is north of Baltimore. It’s gonna be a while before he gets here, and he’s got to work at home part of this weekend. Poor guy - he’s been going full tilt and then some since getting off recuperative leave. Oh well - it keeps him occupied.
I’m getting ready to feed the critters, then move the trailer from the back yard to the garage so we can load it tonight. Fun times ahead - woohoo!

All I can see of the kitchen is that last pic into the dining room–but what little I can see looks immeasurably improved. That’s the hook with home stuff, no? It feels so good to have done it…

I think minimalist decor should be the standard for kitchens and bathrooms. Anything more than that and you risk atrocities such as those described upthread. Now, if a truck full of cat litter exploded, that would also be an atrocity. You’d have cat litter all over the highway, and cars driving through the cat litter, and tracking the cat litter for miles, and you’d have cats coming to use the cat litter, and then you’d have a big cat litter mess causing a big cat litter traffic jam. Cat litter.
Anyway. rose, that’s what Shaft would wear if he were Swedish.
In other news, I HATE my school’s package collection system. Their hours are worse than the HSBC branch in the Student Union. The least they could do is have some limited hours on one day of the weekend, but nooooo. GRAH.

FCM did I ever tell you how absolutely f-aaaaaa-bu-lous that kitchen bar looks? If I ever do decide to enclose my garage and enlarge the kitchen and dining room, I will have a very nice bar. Le sigh. I built this dang house, why can’t I just be happy with what I built?
Rosie and Monica, the thing she really did to herself is what’s so funny and also pitiful. See, I really did like her (not so much right now, mind you) and probably would have given her a nice reference had she asked. Now, it ain’t gonna happen! I hope she attempts to use me as a personal reference. I would not be nasty, but all anybody would get is the old, “She worked here” statement.
