"No Matter What"

This is definitely a MPSIMS but I’ve heard a song which appears to have this as a title on and off for the past couple of weeks on the radio. It appears to be by one of the boybands, but to have a bit more substance in a 60’s sort of way than their usual recycled bubblegum. Unfortunately there is a conspiracy among Raleigh DJs to fail to identify the song’s author, singer(s), etc.
Anybody want to identify them for me, and perhaps suggest what it’s supposed to be about?

Isn’t that Boyzone ?
I could be wrong here. As to what it’s about, may I throw in a well-meant “DUH !”.

I think it’s “No Matter What” by Badfinger.

Does that help? If so, it is by Boyzone. BTW, I haven’t got a clue who they are. I’m old.

That’s the one. As for the “what does it mean” thing, I can understand lyrics. But what I read into the lyrics didn’t fit the idea of it being a teenybopper top-40 song. Given the group and the recent press stuff on them, it makes mucho more sense now.
