I mean really. Who cares if you’ve been a registered user for well over a year and you are just now managing to hit a nice round number with two 0s? Are we supposed to be proud of you? Congratulate you? Write haikus based around your user name?
I think the whole phenomenon is just another example of how self-centered kids are these days.
Y’know what’s worse than post party threads? Threads that claim to be against post parties, but are really just veiled post parties themselves. It’s been done. A lot. And it’s annoying.
Of course, that’s just my opinion. Than again, I’m a bitch.
I will now be hijacking this pseudo-post party for myself as this will put me at a number with repeating first numbers that add up to the final number. It’s a mathematical anomaly!!!
In that case, I completely discount your opinion. Post number 400, here I come! (In a year or so. If I’m lucky.)
And thanks, Mercutio, for that thrilling haiku. I’m not sure what I liked better: the slow suspenseful build-up, or the unexpected-yet-delightful denouement.
Actually what’s REALLY annoying is self-deprecating comments like “I’m a bitch” that are really just thinly veiled efforts to elicit opinions to the contrary about how “un-bitch-like” the poster really is…
I really hate posters who write about nothing at all just to pad their numbers and hope that one of their posts might be considered clever enough so that SOMEBODY might know who the yelp they are when they reach their next round-number milestone.
