For a while there, I thought they were softening Wilhelmina and making her more likeable. I’m glad the manipulative, snarky Wili is back. Loved the “flying monkey” jokes!
Another good episode. I liked how they avoided the cliche of Mark’s mom having either a “of course I’ll always love you” moment or a “I’ve always known, you silly goose” moment.

I liked it, but I wish Alexis would pick a side and stick with it. Are the writers waiting to see which version of Alexis gets the best ratings?
It’ll be interesting to see what happens with Claire and the murder charges. She’s too good a character to languish in prison. Any chance Fey Summers isn’t dead? Maybe she jumped out of the car before it crashed and burned.
I don’t think that would make too much of a difference. It’s still a crime to attempt to kill someone, even if it doesn’t work.
Good point. Better than first degree murder though.
Maybe she can get Alan Shore to be her lawyer. I’d watch that crossover.
I think I’ve asked this before but I’m too lazy to look it up. Was there a scene early in the season where Bradford opened Fey’s crypt and found it empty? Or found someone else’s body in it? I can’t remember what happened to that guy who used to hang around with Bradford. His chauffeur or bodyguard. Did Bradford kill him and he ended up in the crypt?
What a great episode! I actually felt sorry for Mark… and loved the whole “dinner with the family” thing…
Look here you lot!
This isn’t on y’know. Us Brits. aint seen these episodes yet, you’re ruining it for us.
Please use spoilers.
Thank you
Yes, Fey’s tomb was empty - at least until someone (Bradford’s Odd Job guy?) ended up getting stuck in it.
That’s why I thought the “shadowy facial reconstruction person” was Fey - though of course it was Alexis.

With all due respect, why are you reading a thread about an episode of a television show that you haven’t seen? I haven’t read any Torchwood threads because the episodes haven’t aired here yet and I wouldn’t expect Brits to use spoiler boxes for episodes that have aired there.
As for the episode, very good. I liked how they dodged the clichés, as someone mentioned. Not just the bit with Mark’s mother but also Alexis’ beating Daniel in the footrace to the printer. I’m OK with Alexis switching sides because it shows how skillful Wili is at manipulation and it also points out Alexis’ fundamental insecurity.
Agree with everything said, plus Henry continues to break my heart.
“Pink gerber daisies. Pepperoni and mushroom. Cinderella, her mother always read that to her in bed.” Awwww.
So do you think Wilhemina’s [del]Slater[/del] Meade plan will work?
