My cat loves cake. If we leave the pan out overnight, she’ll start eating it.
She’s also been known to chew through the package to eat bread if it’s left out on the counter.
Actually, Blondie will eat almost anything. I fed her a teeny piece of hamburger the other day and she ate it. Odd, considering that she only likes the hard generic-brand cat food. No name brands or moist food for her, no.

We once had a little calico cat named Jo-Jo. She bore seven kittens. Funny cat. She would eat cake; pie; fresh-caught fish; dog food; ice cream; cereal; candy…etc., etc. The only thing Jo-Jo would not eat was cat food! 
Years ago I witnessed a friend’s cat (Orion) eat a bowl of amazingly hot Texas chili. Then again Orion was a mean bastard cat.
Beru will eat an entire chocolate Pop-Tart™.
