As far as the award goes, the Nobel committee doesn’t recognize the transfer, saying that “Once a Nobel Prize is announced, it cannot be revoked, shared, or transferred to others. The decision is final and stands for all time.”

I feel this is a political move and that all she wants is a new future for Venezuela, and knows Trump is easy to flatter, and that he has the power to do something there, and that is more important to her than the medal. It remains to be seen if that new future will be positive or something else.

She has suddenly found herself to be the president of her country because Trump’s military kidnapped the previous president from his home in Venezuela and Trump keeps threatening further military violence upon the country and she’s trying to placate him.

The opposition leader doesn’t take over when the president can no longer serve, rather the VP does. If Trump were incapacitated, for example, Vance would be POTUS in the US, not Kamala Harris.

I’d be willing to bet that he asked her for the cash that went with it. Between the FIFA Peace Prize and extorting someone else’s Nobel, it’s worth about as much as a participation ribbon at a middle school track and field meet.
This level of sucking-up is just sickening. Of course the medal by itself is meaningless, but the simple-minded toddler-in-chief doesn’t know that. It’s gold, it’s shiny, and it says “Nobel” on it. There was a story recently about a former Montreal Canadiens hockey player who auctioned off his Stanley Cup ring. It fetched a princely $85,000, but I’m sure the buyer doesn’t consider himself a star hockey player, but merely the possessor of an interesting collectible. Trump has the arguable “benefit” of being so ineffably stupid that he lives in an imaginary world where symbolism is the actual reality, just like all his lies are actual truths.
Utter embarrassment. Even a first grader knows the difference between winning a medal and merely being given it by someone else who did win.
And I don’t understand how a narcissist can care so little about people snickering and mocking. I thought narcissists would be MORE sensitive to such sneering, not less.
