Plus now we have what looks like a pretty big whopper of hypocrisy from Miss BBB:
Directly from TMZ, Miss BBB’s mother accused Miss BBB’s father of being gay. Miss BBB’s father accused Miss BBB’s stepfather of being gay. And Miss BBB’s sister said this in court documents:
It’s unclear if the other man was the father, or if they just happened to stumble on some random gayness.

What kills me is the glaring hypocrisy of Fox (can’t believe I just said that- like saying “gee, Ann Coulter said something irrational!”, but this is even more blatant than usual) in defending her. BillO was talking tonight about the smear job being done on this poor girl.
Okey dokey, can you even imagine if it had been a Miss Mississippi who had drawled “I think people should marry anyone they choose and I’m so glad Barack Obama is in the White House and Bush is finally history cause he was a Neanderthal!”, something that would not remotely imply ‘no skeletons in the closet’, and then this type stuff was revealed. They’d be showing the semi-nudes on every show and probably leaving them up during the crawl, Glenn Beck would be claiming similarities between her and Rosemary’s Baby, etc… Sometimes I really don’t understand how even the Lotus Flavored Kool Aid Drinkers who are their core can pretend to go along for the ride.
Oh, that’s their MO. Scream 10 times as loud about something a Democrat did, than if same thing were done by a Republican. One of the many many many glaring examples recently was Republican congressman Pete Sessions, who said that the Taliban insurgency was an inspiration to Republicans.
Republicans ignored it (probably agreed with it), the mainstream media ignored it, and the Democrats, after rolling their eyes in a there-you-Republicans-go-again way, ignored it. Most people never even heard about it. I posted a thread about it that got a whole 77 page views and exactly zero responses.
Now, imagine, just imagine, if a Democrat had said that while Bush was president, during a time of war, a war partially against the Taliban, the screaming would have been so loud and fierce we would have heard about it 24/7 for months. It would have gotten so much media attention that the Democrat would probably have been forced to resign.
But because a Republican said it, no biggie. He’ll even get re-elected, just like Bachman probably will.
You know, sometimes I hate Democrats almost as much as Republicans, because they’re far too quiet far too often about shit that really does deserve attention.
That does kind of undercut her original wholesome-family-values claim about the basis for her beliefs: “And you know what, I think in my country, in my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody out there, but that’s how I was raised.”
Seems like she was initially trying to market herself with a squeaky-clean good-Christian-girl image (my family raised me to believe in traditional marriage, I never posed for semi-nude pictures, etc.), and now is crying about being “smeared” when the media digs up things about her that don’t quite fit that image.
I’m not sure I’d call that exactly “hypocrisy”, though. But I’m not sure what else to call it.
It may not be hypocrisy, but it seems a lie to say “in my family” when her sister grew up in the same family and doesn’t seem to think that’s the case and if her parents split up over her father being gay.
I wonder out of curiosity if she had it to do over again would she do it over again. OT1H she’s waaaay over her head with the backlash (she definitely shouldn’t have consented to the NOM commercial as I think that’s what caused the digging to escalate). OTOH, outside of their families, friends, and pageant personnel there are probably 20 people on Earth who can name who Miss Nevada or Miss Oregon or Miss Utah were and I can’t remember the name of the actual Miss USA winner (I think it was Miss NC but I’m not even sure of that) yet Carrie Prejean is currently world famous. (She won’t be by July unless she marries Drew Peterson or it’s revealed she tossed her baby away at the prom or she pops Sanjaya’s cherry on air as a last minute Blagojevich replacement on I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here or whatever, but for now she is, not that it’s been lucrative so far.)
That was a good article, thank you. Learning that her sister is a gay rights advocate (unless that’s another lie) makes me scorn Miss BBB even more. With that and the situation with her father (gay or not, but “accused” of being gay as if he were guilty of a crime), she presumably knows quite a bit more of what’s involved in gay rights than the average person and still ignorantly and happily embraces bigotry. Makes me like her sister though. And yeah, she lied (yet again) with her “in my family” and “that’s how I was raised” lines.

He got arrested yesterday for the murder of his third wife (the one before Stacy, who died in a bathtub) so that’s out. Unless Miss BBB marries him in prison, which could happen.
She may be a vacuous shithead with nice tits, but she’s not (based on this) a hypocrite. This seems a very carelessly leveled insult, used seemingly by people who possess no more than a vague understanding the word means something pejorative.
I wonder- if Larry Flynt offered her money to do a porno with Levi Johnston, I wonder how much she’d hold out for.
