Well, since I saw you make you a direct statement to me about me that I thought was false, and didn’t get the impression that you just wanted me to ignore what you said…are you suggesting that you did that while having the intent of hoping I’d remain silent? That’s fine with me if you are, but, if so, please be clear about this so that I won’t bother responding to you if a similar situation were ever to arise again, ok? Thank you!

Ok, I see what happened - I missed this last line from your previous post to me: "Separately, I trust Der, Czar and AskthePizzaGuy could thrash the mainline Christian take on matters. But that would be for another thread."

you haven’t read the NT apparently, which teaches that God’s nature is love, and that we should love & respect others the way we wish others to love & respect us - actually being mean and insincere?

I have read the NT and the OT more times than I can count.
With that said, I wonder if you have actually read the NT or was it read to you in Bible Study?

I ask because the concept of HELL is in the NT and not in the OT, the concept of Hell is not love in any manner.

The NT has the concept of an omniscient god that has PREDESTINED all of the creation. This is not a loving God. A god that PREDESTINES people to hell for his good will and pleasure is NOT a loving God.

A god that builds or creates HELL of the NT is not a loving god. Jesus in one of the Gospels, I think it is Mathew states he is not to save all, but only his people.

The NT speaks of and condones slavery, this is not a god of love
The NT speaks of Jesus coming back in his glory with his Angels
Jesus speaks of separating parents from Children
Jesus speaks about US or THEM

None of the above is a definition of love in any sense.
