Non-Sexual things that feel good

I used to crack everything I could in my body, now I don’t anymore (except my knuckles), because I’m scared. That is a wonderful feeling though, it’s almost like all the tension just disappears.
A really great feeling I remember having is after back surgery I had staples put in to close the incision. Finally it was time for the staples to come out and the nurse brushed away all the dead flaky skin that had been around the staples and incision (since I couldn’t get my back wet). After not being able have my back touched for weeks and being in a lot of pain (despite the loads of pain killers) just having my back touched felt so wonderful, man was that swell.

Comming into a warm place after you were freezing your @$$ off.
and just leave off ‘after you were freesing you @$$ off’ to get that sexual thing that feels good.

*Public Holidays

*Mornings

*Actually finishing something I started

*Finding something in the bottom of my deep dark room (that’s a rare and scary event)

Making someone laugh.

The endorphine rush when I run.

Standing in rain so soaked that I just can’t get any wetter, and letting it rain down hard.

A big fluffy towel after a bath.

Being called Kiddo.

When Fierra laughs at one of my silly jokes or attempts at humor.

Listening to her sing, spontaneously.

Being hugged by her.

Watching her bounce up and down when she gets excited.

I had my first non-sexual orgasm yesterday:

I did a lot of work yesterday, painting and remodling a friends house, plus my bar construction project is heavily underway (it’s stained, and I just put on a coat of polyurethane before I left the house this AM). About 7:00PM the sun broke through the gloomy clouds, so I pulled up a chair in the garage, grabbed a soda, and sat back and relaxed.

My aching body, the sunshine, the smell of fresh-cut wood and stain, and the cool breeze that slowly drifted in and out of the garage just mixed in such a way. . . Aaaaaaaaaah.

The feel of a good hard day’s work.

Tripler
The Green grass, a blue sky, and white paint all over my leg.

That’s because I hadn’t posted yet.

Also (and because I’m late in posting I’m going to be “stealing” a lot from others):

Foot massages

Having my hair washed by someone else

A new book by my favourite author

Unexpected phone calls

My cat sharing my pillow at night

Hot showers

Ice cold water when it’s really hot

Sliding into bed and snuggling under the covers when I’m really tired.

There’s more, but I’ll stop for now – Good OP, Guin, thanks

Having a BBQ with family and friends. The kind where people hang around for 2-3 hours after all the foods gone just because they’re having such a good time.

Chatting with my dear friend Sondra whom I haven’t seen in 3 years but we’re still the best of friends.

Having my kids fight over which one is going to kiss me first.

Sitting in the sun, under the branches of a tree, with a glass of lemonade at my side, and a great book to read, with nothing to bother me at all for hours as I enjoy the sensations…

aaaahhhhh - if there’s a heaven, I want that to be my eternity…

There are so many little pleasures in life, where to start?

Some of these are going to be repeats, but what the heck!

After you’ve been working in the hot sun all day, the blast from a walk-in cooler.

I wholeheartedly agree with anyone who’s mentioned back rubs. And reading a good book.

Also:

Sleeping all curled up with my bf-- nothing makes me feel more relaxed and secure.

Having my cat fall asleep on my lap, that warm 14 pound lump of feline all snuggled in with his head on my arm.

Watching my ferrets play-- their energy makes me happy, and they’re funny as hell.

Friday nights when the Chinese food is on the way, there’s something cool on TV, and the work week is OVER.

Sitting in the park watching the water on a work day that I have off, so the place is empty except for me and my book.

Putting the mower away, and just looking at all that fresh cut lawn, smelling that wonderful smell of two-stroke exhaust and cut grass, getting in the hammock then with a book and a beer and taking nap.

–The gentleness in her voice when my mom tells me she loves me, and I tell her I love her.
–When my mom sings “Happy Birthday” to me on my birthday. It makes me feel like a little kid all over again.
–When I hug my doggy, Shnookums, and she just sits there quietly, no fidgeting, and lets me do it. I imagine if she had human arms, she’d hug me back.
–When I’m playing fetch the ball with Shnookums, and she’s so excited her big, brown eyes get all big, and she’s grinnin’ fit to beat the band.
–Rubbing Shnookums’ chest and tummy
–One time I’d just made an apple pie, and a friend who claims up and down she don’t care for desserts agreed to just take one bite of the piece of pie I gave her. When she did, her eyes got all big, and she started going to town gobbling up that piece, and then asked for another one. [giggle] So I guess I’d have to say generally feeding people who appreciate your efforts.
–Receiving a genuine smile from a stranger
–Smiling at, greeting, hugging, or paying a genuine compliment to others
–When I’ve got a deadline, and I’m in the home stretch, and I’m cussin’ and bitchin’ and moanin,’ wondering why in the hell I waited until the last minute to get started, looking deep in myself for reserves of strength and energy, finding them, and then making the damn deadline. Whoo! What a rush!
–On a lazy day when the sun is shining, sitting around the kitchen table or out on the porch, drinking, and talking with my friends about everything from politics to fashions to art to the latest interesting folks we done met. It’s even better if those folks have Southern accents.
–The feel of the sun on my skin
–Acting silly with my friends and my friends are acting silly with me and we’re all just being silly together and laughing and having a good time
–Spreading love
–Knowing that I have a damn good staff that I can trust
–Getting emails, no spam, just genuine, long letters telling me about how life is going
–Writing emails to friends venting about the latest bit of bullshit to come my way
–Making new friends

Y’all have a good day. :0)

Getting Mrs. Tygr’s steak grilled exactly right (medium-well) and getting mine exactly right (medium rare) at the same time. Plus seeing her face when she takes that first bite and knows I’ve done it right.

Coming home from work on a Friday to some damn good beer that’s been chilling in the fridge all week and a damn good pizza that gets delivered just as I get changed out of my work clothes and into some comfy baggy shorts and tee-shirt to crash on the couch and watch some good TV.

Stepping out of the trees into the sun onto a high ridgeline in the Blue Ridge mountains just as a cool breeze blows around you and you look out and see rows and rows of hills and valleys fading away off to the horizon that’s half-way into another state, knowing that the people down in town are sweltering in ninety degree heat but up here it’s 70 at the most and besides, there’s a stream and waterfall over a few yards that you can cool your feet in.

[li] Chugging down a tall, ice-filled glass of sun tea, after mowing the lawn on a hot day.[/li]
[li] The endorphin buzz after eating a big bowl of spicy red beans and rice.[/li]
[li] The flush on my cheeks that I get when I eat very sharp cheddar cheese.[/li]
[li] The lingering sensation after taking a massive number 2. Or number 1 for that matter. (Lots of red beans and rice are also good for this one, too.)[/li]
[li] Holding the sole of your foot up to a jacuzzi jet, and keeping it there while trying to relax. (This is nearly as good as an orgasm.)[/li]
[li] Waking up before your lover, and silently cuddling up to her. (Ok, that might lead to something sexual, but I think it qualifies.)[/li]
And one that I haven’t enjoyed in more than 6 years:

After your LSD trip peaks and you feel the unity of the band, the music, and the audience.

Looooooong stretches.
Scalp massages. (Especially when you have “hat hair”.)
Hot showers.
Drinking lots of ice cold water after sweaty work. (Actually ice cold water and crunching ice-cubes anytime is one of life’s little pleasures.)
Dozing in a warm bed without an alarm clock.
A hot, not-too-humid day with a warm breeze that feels like a blanket.
Standing in complete solitude in a snow covered wilderness.
Watching kittens play.

Sighing.
Waking up, realizing you’re late for work, then remembering it’s Saturday and you don’t have to go.
Lying in bed with the blanket on while a thunderstorm is outside.
Laughing.
Not understanding something, then suddenly having it come to you.
