…and Norm’s bar tab.
Sam: “It goes way back to the beginning, when we didn’t even know your name yet. Look, it says ‘Skinny guy at the end of the bar’.”
“Hey Mr. Peterson, there’s a cold one waiting for you.”
“I know, if she calls, I’m not here.”
“Beer, Norm?”
“Have I gotten that predictable? Good.”
“What’s going on Mr Peterson?”
“A flashing sign in my gut that says, ‘Insert beer here.’”
“What’s the story Norm?”
“Boy meets beer. Boy drinks beer. Boy meets another beer.”
Most of my faves have been mentioned, but this reminded me of the episode where the bar was being appraised (I think) and the person notices a part of the floor has been slightly sunk in. Right where Norm sat.
Another not-quite-a-Normism: Lilith is giving Frasier a hard time for bringing their baby in too often, while he denies it. The door opens, Mr. P comes in, and the kid says his first word: Norm! 
Coach: How about a beer Norm?
Norm: I’m high on life coach. Of course beer is my life.
The rest of the set-up to that joke, of course, being that Frasier and Lilith had been arguing about the best place for little Freddy to spend his time in order to pick up speech. “He’ll never learn to talk in a bar,” cries Lilith in exasperation, and then the door opens…
Wasn’t there an episode where the bar was taken over by the restaurant upstairs, and some guy comes in and everyone yells “Chester!”
Or am I hallucinating?
Was Norm supposed to be an alcoholic? He never seemed drunk, but the man could put away his beer.
I do remember an episode where Sam was living and tending bar in the Caribbean. In that one the guy’s name that everyone yelled was Pablo.
That’s my fave, too. Norm WAS Cheers.
And don’t forget the payoff…Lilith looks in delight at the baby in her arms and says, “He said Mom!”
