Four North Central Texas College softball players killed in Oklahoma bus crash

Four college softball players died when a runaway tractor-trailer plowed into their team bus on an Oklahoma highway just one hour north of their campus, officials said Saturday.

The horrific wreck, which injured 11 other North Central Texas College players and their coach, was “being investigated like it’s a homicide,” said Oklahoma Highway Patrol Capt. Ronnie Hampton.

This at least is positive news.

All of the survivors, including the driver of the semi, were injured. By late Saturday, only two — both of them players — remained hospitalized.
