I can’t find a cite for it, but MSNBC reported that the North Korean government has asked the US and South Korea to refrain from the planned celebrations for the cease-fire which effectively ended the large scale shooting phase of the Korean War. My question is: Why? Surely the end of killing people in large numbers is a good thing, right? Or is the NK government so out of whack with reality that they think the ending of war is a bad thing?
The phrase “least of our problems” comes to mind…
Well, IIRC, it was a “pre-condition” to negotiations.
Nah, I didn’t think it was. I’m just sayin’.
I imagine the maniacs in North Korea don’t like the idea of a celebration because they don’t think there should be separate Koreas, among other things. And hey, I can easily picture Kim as a Grinch who just doesn’t want South Koreans or Americans to be celebrating at all.
North Korea is ruled by psychotic monsters. You can’t pretend to understand their motivation for anything.
