Anybody know the Straight Dope on what happened with the recent rocket test/satellite launch by North Korea? The news I’ve read has been very sketchy… N. Korea claims that the test was an unmitigated success, and everyone else claims it failed miserably. I was thinking that amateur astronomers might have been able to track the launch, and see if there is a shiny new satellite in orbit.
