Anytime the North Korean regime fails at something it is a good thing.
Of course, they will simply claim it a success for internal propoganda and deny western claims of it’s failure as outrageous lies and slander.
If they tell their own people the missile failed (which I doubt) they’ll probably say they decided to shoot it down.
Hur hur. Not so scary now, are you, Kim Un?
“North Korea sucessfully tests rocket self-destruct mechanism.”
No way they admit any failure on their own part.
Ha-Ha!
And to everyone’s surprise, it worked.
this seems appropriate at this time.
A couple of really good lines in there. The dime one is my fav.
I bet that if they do admit it failed, they say they are investigating possible western sabotage or interference in the launch and will launch a rain of destruction on those responsible.
They’re always good for those kinds of threats.
I was thinking that was quite likely, a la Stuxnet.
Well, not to rain on anyone’s parade, but you actually learn quite a lot from failure…though, in the case of NK perhaps not, as the scientists and engineers involved are probably posing for gunfire or learning the joys of reeducation in some nice camp somewhere.
ETA: Wonder if they will follow this up with their usual nuclear weapons ‘test’…that seems to be their usual modus operandi.

The Glorious Leader decided to reproduce the computer calculations for the launch on an abacus. To his horror, he discovered that the math was all wrong, and ordered the rocket destroyed moments after the launch.
mmmm, no. OK, how about the launching of a satellite was just a cover for the super-secret weapon being tested, which worked perfectly, but they blew everything up so that the CIA couldn’t steal the technology. Which is secret, so we can’t tell you.
Better.
Everything went as the Great Leader had known that it would. There is no question to answer, because there is no question to ask.
That’s it.
The launch itself was a huge success. They just need to work on the whole flying into space part. Small steps, small steps!
Cummon guys. It was a “test”. They didn’t intend it to succeed.
Just a thought . . . I wonder if Fox News will note that the “liberal mainstream press (that is manipulated by a bunch of commies and their sympathizers)” is relishing in the fact that the rocket failed.
The fucknuggets at ABC decided to interrupt Jeopardy to announce this non-event to the world. Do you know what this means?
THE NORTH KOREANS HAVE RUINED JEOPARDY.
Rat bastard fuckbollocks.
Watson ruined Jeopardy, North Korea just pissed on the headstone.
You shut up. Watson was awesome.
On the front page of The New York Times there is a picture of the mission control room with caption, Technicians at a center on the outskirts of Pyongyang watched over the rocket set for launching. Obviously, tomorrow there will be a much different picture on the front page.
I can just see one of the the technicians now:
“Rocket suppose to go up. Rocket suppose to go up.”
Yea, I saw that picture. And if you were alive for the early space launches, manned and unmanned, and saw the control rooms, it was easy to see that the place looks pretty primitive. I think that was the point of the picture. North Korea’s rocket program has been an abysmal failure but you have to protect against the scenario of them getting lucky, especially when Iran is helping out. The NK reaction will be interesting. I wonder if those dittoheads (Rush Limbaugh types) in NK are crying, banging their heads against the concrete and screaming out in total sorrow over the loss of their precious rocket.
It would be laughable except for the sad truth that their resources are going to these kind of fiascoes instead of feeding their people.
