Alright: raise your hands all of you who took more than five seconds to figure this one out. Up here, at this time of the year, there’s this advertising on TV for a gameboard where you see this salesman (HINT!) knocking one someone’s door only to be given a card (yeah, she was expecting him:rolleyes: ) on which it says: ‘Nose Ails Minnow Loud’. Well, after four tries reading out loud each one of the words (faster and faster each time), he finally shouts, beaming with confidence, ‘NO SALESMAN ALLOWED!’ and gets the door slammed to his face. There’s another ad, as hilarious I might add, where the secret sentence is ‘Will you marry me?’ When the tricked groom-to-be finally gets it, the bride-to-be responds with a resounding YES!, to the utter amazement of her future companion in life (it’s just dawning on him, you see). At which point, the entire TV audience ROTFLs.
There are supposed to be 300 of these cards (no doubt each more witty/challenging than the next) in the game. Which should, theoretically, take the guests up to dinner time. Once you’ve gone through the stack, what do you do with the game before the next party/get-together comes around? Do you throw away the game, disqualify yourself because…you know all the answers and it wouldn’t be fair to the other players? Pray for a second edition to come along real quick?
:::sigh:::
