Nose blowing air speed

Just wondering what the average velocity of the wind is coming through your nose when you blow it. Also what is the minimum speed the air has to travel to “get the job done” so to speak, and what is the highest speed possible? And how does that translate out to air pressure? Can’t seem to find any information on the internet. Hoping you can help. Thanks.

I’ve found several refernces similar to this, claiming sneezes can be somewhere in the range of 100-200 mph, most estimates at the lower end. And several sites cite a “Dr John Cameron” estimate thay a cought can have an airspeed over 600 miles per hour. This may be his home page,, but I see no reference to any paper which dealt with this subject matter.

Thank you for your response Boyo Jim. The speed of sneezes, in part, is what prompted the question about nose blowing. I’ve found info on sneezes and coughs, but nothing on honking the 'ol schnozzola. Hoping someone has done research on this fine subject before…
