As I near the magical 1000 post barrier I am forced to ask myself a simple question. Should I have a 1000 post party thread? I see people who have them for 100, 200 and 500 posts etc. but I have never been one to pat myself on the back.
The trend had died down for a while but they are now back with a vengeance. Should I go against my nature and conform? Should I start a forum where everybody can congratulate me and tell me I’m wonderful (okay, that might be pushing it)?
Where do the patrons of MPSIMS stand on the post count party issue?
I also find myself nearing this milestone. I’ve never thrown myself a post party, but I did mention my 100th and 200th post in a sneaky way in other threads.
I’ll probably do the same with number 1000.
Post a few more and you can have a real post count party!! The Dallas Dopers are meeting again (it’s a sickness) on Thursday for dinner and drinks. If you to 1000, I’ll buy you a drink. Heck, I’ll buy you a drink even if you don’t make the 1000th post by then.
I think that my intentions have been misunderstood. This is not about my impending 1000th post!. This was asking if I should have a party thread for my impending 1000th post. I guess that the question was basically answered by the low number of responses that I have recieved. That seems to be a recurring theme with threads that I start in MPSIMS.
If this were a party thread the title would have been A thread count party.
MAN!! I wish someday I can grow up to have 1000 post just like you! What an accomplishment that would be!! Other f@$%ing newbies like me would read my posts and think to themselves,“One day, I will be a 1000 poster just like WillyK!!”
What? This is your 1000th post? Are you for real? What a cop out!!! I used to look up to you 1Ker’s, but this useless post as your 1000th is just lame and sad!
