Not Bourbon, Not Scotch, but Irish Whiskey: Happy St Paddy's Best?

I’m a scotch drinker but started whiskey drinking with Bushmills Malt 10 and 14 year old. Pretty good stuff. Jameson Black Barrel is to my liking but regular Jameson, Tullamore Dew, John Powers etc. don’t do anything for me. Never had Redbreast. Maybe I’ll give a shot (pun intended).

I will not spring for the >$100 Bourbon but instead have settled on Woodford Reserve. As far as proof goes we were taught form our Bourbon trail tours that it comes out of the barrel at about 120-130 proof and they simply dilute it down to the 90 proof they bottle it at.

Worse: if she knew that was posted from the likes of me, she’d have spat on the ground, turned her back, and walked away in a most indignant manner.

Well, such is the celebrity life.
