Not strictly ATMB, but . . .

. . . it happened again today. I click on someone’s link, and this ominous “Domain Security” message pops onto my screen (I’m on AOL, and quitchersnickerin’).

The message reads: “A script launched from one page has attempted to access information from a page from another domain. Since this could be used to obtain private information, it is not allowed.”

Not only do I have to quit the page to get the cyber-gestapo to let up, but the second I quit they hit me with the dreaded, “WAOL: An Error Has Occurred . . .” crapola, and I have to re-boot the whole system.

I’m guessing that folks around here aren’t deliberately posting evil links, so just what in the name of Lycidas is this “Domain Security”, and just what are they presuming to protect me from?

I dunno, but obviously they’re on to you.

Seriously, I’ll kick this to the techs, see what they have to say, if anything.

Hey, Doc, if you’ll give a link to a thread that has an offending link in it, I’ll play around with it and see what happens. It sounds like a security level setting that is catching a suspected problem.

The: <<“WAOL: An Error Has Occurred . . .” crapola, … >>, well that’s just AOL’s response to anything going wrong.
