I posted to this thread, but wasn’t automatically subscribed to it. I’ve also noticed that from time to time recently I haven’t been getting email updates to subscribed threads.
Is there a thread subscription problem?
Since when are we “automatically” subscribed to threads that we post in?
It’s been an option for as long as I’ve been here that you can select to automatically subscribe to threads you post to.
ETA: Oddly, I’m having trouble finding the option box now, but I have never had to subscribe to a thread I’ve posted too, though I choose to subscribe to some threads I haven’t.
ETA2: Found it. Under User CP, choose options, choose subscription options. You can then choose to not automatically subscribe, or subscribe with various notification options.
Since always, depending on your settings. See the “default thread subscription mode” in your User CP settings. I don’t know what the default for that is (since I’ve always had it set to subscribe me but not send e-mails) but it has been available as long as I remember.
ETA: and I just checked; the automatic subscription is still working for me (I saved the first version of this message, refreshed the screen, and I am now definitely subscribed to this thread).

Is there a possibility that these emails are going to your spam filter? That’s usually the problem, though that may not be your problem.
