CNN.com says 5%. 52/47
popular vote is 51% Bush
48% Kerry
right now
w/ OHio too close to call but Kerry has maybe 2% pop vote lead
Coming late to the discussion. I have been playing “Johnny, Be Good” every hour, one the hour as the polls close.
Why did Jeb Bush remain in Florida tonight? You would think he would want to be with his family at such a time. I’m just trying to think of a situation that couldn’t be handled over the phone.
That is awful about the tire slashing. Disgusting and humiliating.
It will be interesting to hear the exact exit poll results and how they compare with the vote count. For the sake of the country, I hope that they match up.
John Mace, I look forward to the day when you care about more than just winning. I hope that you will learn that voters who feel they have been disenfranchised will never believe in their country or its leaders and the country will never be unified.
Pennsylvania is in the pocket. Go, Johnny, go!
CNN just called PA for Kerry. Duh.
CNN just called Pennsylvania for Kerry. Kerry is behind by slightly more than one California. The night is yet young.
I’m watch 3 networks right now and the PC too they all have him at least 8pts ahead
In Florida 88% of the vote is in and Bush is still up 52%/47%. I don’t think Kerry is going to take Florida no matter what. In Ohio Kerry still has a chance…44% in with 52%/47%. Looks bad for Kerry. Michigan (17 EV) also looks like it might be Bush…only 14% in so far though. My big shock so far…New Mexico MIGHT go Bush, though its too early to tell still (only 28% in so far but Bush is up 52%47%).

Yes. The margin briefly narrowed, but now at 280,000 votes with 89% in. Even looking at some outstanding Kerry votes in Palm Beach county, FL is a Bush lock.
Anyone else watching FoxNews? Is Juan Williams actually awake?
Correction, it’s not 10%, but still solid for Bush.
Apparently the youth vote failed to show up. Way to go, kids.
Real simple. Republicans end up running in fact most of the BOEs because it’s determined by who won the governor’s race in the county, and Taft creamed his last opponent. If they can skimp on spending any money to help Dems vote in Dem areas, they do their best. Like I said: two booths, hundreds of voters.
And it’s not like we didn’t push and warn and so forth. It wasn’t a lack of notice, it was a lack of interest in doing anything about it.
And now NPR is calling the North Carolina Senate seat for Burr, which means the Republicans have picked up two of them.
I am beginning to think I need another drink.
I hate to agree and I’m damn sure not gonna predict Fla for sure…been there before but I’d say it doesn’t look too good for Kerry in Fla.
not sure about Ca. either
Did you read the local BS I posted earlier
I’m beginning to wish I drank. Lying in a gutter insensate for the next four years is sounding REALLY good right now…
It’s way too early to call it against Kerry. At this point it all depends on Ohio. Personally I still feel mild optimism.

What?? You mean the vaunted cell phone users that were skewing the polls unrealistically? No, it can’t be. For weeks I’ve been hearing how the cell phone users were going to be the swing factor.
According to the CNN exit poll for Florida, independants broke 60-38 for Kerry. If this is accurate, how on earth can he be losing the state? That makes no sense!
We have lots of voting problems and long waits in Milwaukee too, but the whole state and the city itself is run by the Dems.
Fuck a gutter. I’m wondering how much a small plot of land in Alaska would cost. Just me and Metadog, curled up together in the middle of nowhere, slaughtering millions of braincells on supermarket-brand vodka.
Mmm…
