Whatever made anyone think that a kid who can afford a cell phone (or their parents) would ever vote for Kerry?
I just saw a stat on tv that the youth vote was up by 50% (from 14% to 21% of something)
Ohio remains interesting. Bush is up by 140,000 votes, but most of his big counties are in. Cuyahoga and (to a lesser degree) other big Kerry counties are lagging. My math shows that Kerry will probably make this gap up. It’ll be very close.
My ancestors are Scots/Irish…they like to drink don’t they?
Ya reckon I could move there w/out gettin in too much shit. I can fake an accent if I have to.
hey I just remembered a bottle of Cuervo I’ve got stashed in the freezer…welp I guess it’s gettin about that time.
All indications I’ve seen is that the vote IS out…and the youth vote is up from any other election.

Looks like California just went blue on CNN’s website, still, it’ll be a close one
197 bush
188 kerry
just got off the phone with my college freind who’s originally from England, and he is really concerned about the perception of the American public overseas if bush gets re-elected, it’d send a <Cartman>“screw you guys, i’m going home”</Cartman> type of message to the world…
I can’t swing a dead cat around the poorest black neighborhood here without hitting someone with a cell phone. The folks there would just wonder why a crazy white dude was swinging a dead cat in the hood.
Hmmm, go figure, Tequila…
I’m posting because I want to warn you that the Haruspex Antidefemation League is going to have a few words with you for putting them in the same class as exit polls. Also, I’m chewing my nails and drinking '78 Duckhorn, carefully smuggled into Canada*. somehow this seemed relevant enough to post, implying that I am actually rather concerned about this election.
- by “smuggled” I mean legally imported under the two-bottles-of-wine exemption.
So it seems that election officials from both parties are a bunch of incompetent morons.
Ironic. My ancestors are mostly all hispanic and I’m on my second bottle of fine single malt scotch (15 years old :))…and yours are Scots/Irish and you have a bottle of Cuervo.

(On the Daily Show, they had clips from 2000-damn, Bush has aged a lot in four years.)
I’m surprised though that Specter’s behind.
Based on the Exits only.
Much of Hamilton County is not in yet… that should go to Bush, but interestingly at the moment Kerry is holding even with Bush.
CNN just called Pennsilvania and California for Kerry. That makes it Bush 197 Kerry 188. This is still going to be close.
I guess poor is a relative term…at least my relatives anyway. Guess I’m outta touch.
tequila=t-keela go figure…didn’t take much common sense to figure that one out did it?
good evening friends
i worked the poll for my precinct in nebraska. we had a huge turnout, almost 74% we had quite a few young voters casting their first ballot.
the initiatives to legalize gambling are losing, the state has been called for mr. bush to no one’s surprise. it looks like our house seats are all going to the gop.
the district 3 house seat is held by tom osborne who is winning with 85% of the vote mainly based on the three national championships the cornhuskers won while he was head coach
I’ve decided that I’m ethnically American; but, I’m not going to drink a spill mat special. Texas tea for me.
FL, OH, NM
From what I understood, all three of the above states were “battleground” states, yet, from CNN we see that Bush is currently leading by about the same margin
FL 52% to 47%
OH 52% to 48%
NM 52% to 47%
Those numbers are eerily close to each other. If I were a conspiracy theorist, I might start suspecting that something was fishy.
Anyway, maybe the numbers will be different when all the votes are counted.
Bush’s lead in OH is shrinking. An hour ago it was over 250 thousand. Now it’s 113 thousand.
