Well, you know what you can do with that sentiment.

Any Canadian Dopers want to sponsor a couple of potential expats? Four years in Toronto is looking really good at this point.

I think the mods are hiding. I would, in their place.

That’s the booze talking.

Don’t think so. Some blue states are getting quite purple. The Democrats could well start losing worse.

Keep in mind, there was a wonderful moment of national unity back in 1984. Good times. Mondale won only one state, his home state, and that one not by much.

Somehow, I don’t think this is the kind of national agreement you’re looking for.

Fuck it. I’m assuming it’s Bush and going to bed. I may be presently surprised in the morning, but I doubt it.

(I knew it was the Red Sox or Kerry, not both, I don’t know how, but I *knew * it.)

I’m not happy, but not surprised either.

Frankly, I’m more depressed at the gay marriage bans passing so widely and so easily. WTF? Are we a nation of bigots? Seems so. We’ll be apologizing for this one to our grandkids. I agree that this is backlash for the MA decision, but I still say that decision was legally correct, and I’m loathe to tell anyone that they have to fight for the rights they should have by some arbitrary schedule.

Well, here’s to 2008. Let’s try to do better than Hillary. Good night, folks.

Cuyahoga County: it’s this year’s Palm Beach County.

I hate friggin chat rooms but I checked out a couple earlier tonight and I swear it was a bunch of kids just gay bashing and talking shit. Nobody seemed to hace a clue WTF this is all about.
I’m really glad to know you guys…yes all of you. :dubious:

Don’t write off Ohio just yet. More to come.

Nice.

I love this country, and I would love this country if Kerry won.

This is precisely my fear. When you have two candidates that are very similar, it would make sense for it to be this close. But with these candidates so vastly different, it really shows that this nation is starkly divided ideologically.

Whatever happens, here’s hoping that some progress can be made in getting people back on the same page. I noticed even in obscure elcetions there’s an almost right down the middle spilt.

“A house divided against itself cannot stand”. We are about as divided as can possibly be right now.

It’s called levity, and we’re adding it, so screw em.

JUST KIDDING

ANC just called CO for the republicans.

IF I did my math right, if Bush wins OH and AK (expected) and Kerry gets all the states he is leading in that are uncalled (HI, NV, MN, IA, WI, MI, and NH) and also manages to get NM (very close) the electoral college will be tied 269-269.

Nope, haven’t had a drop to drink all night.

Well, time to print up the “Don’t Blame Me, I Voted for Kodos” paraphanelia.

Oh, I love this country. I just think a little more than half the people in it are idiots.

I’m waiting for a solid 270 count. I still have tequila in my bottle and I have other bottles.

ABC I meant. geez

He’s not getting NV.
