No, you’re certainly not the only one. And yes, they do not speak for anywhere near the majority of Christians. Unfortunately, there are people who do listen to them, and I think we’re going to have some extra ignorance to fight because of them.

I have to admit, sometimes I think the best thing to do would be to take a 767, put those two at the controls (surely God will teach them how to fly a plane), and see if bin Laden (or whoever organized Tuesday’s atrocities) likes taking a jumbojet up the wazoo any more than all those innocent people he had killed did.
(And of course, neither I nor they speak for anything remotely resembling the majority of Christians, as ultrafilter pointed out.)
