Now that Elon Musk has bought Twitter - now the Pit edition (Part 1)

Two reasons:

  1. Music is objectively better than XMusic, but more importantly…
  2. Exercising power over helpless individuals is kind of a bread and butter move for powerful narcissists.

Does this offer extend to former Twitter employees that Musk fired?

That depends on how he defines “unfairly” - don’t get your hopes up.

Why, he’ just like the ACLU, the defender of all our liberties and a free speech absolutist! He even made sure that the Nazis have a platform to have their speech heard, just like the ACLU. He just left off the ‘no matter how repugnant their views are’ part. I wonder why?

Except for the loss of half a million followers.

They didn’t lose the followers, they were all ported over to the new account.

Elmo is still pretending he’s going to fight Zuck.

So Elmo won’t listen to his Mom after all?

The greatest trick the devil played was making Mark Zuckerberg seem both funny and likable, if only for an instant.

Sounds like Musk will probably get a sicknote:

In any case, I would expect Musk’s doctor to advise against the fight on the grounds that Musk will get beat up real bad.

That is a great reply. Ugh. Cheering on Zuckerberg feels so wrong.

God help us, he looks just like Zuckerberg with a beard! At least he had the decency to get himself killed at the age of 31, after being Emperor since the age of 16.

Talking about the MuXk, I came across this opinion by a Jazz critic called Ted Gioia I have been reading recently that got me thinking he may be onto something:

My fantasy version of the match has Musk sauntering into the ring like the smug simpering dipshit he is, unaware that Zuck is a humorless single-minded killbot in the other corner, and when the bell rings Zuck storms out and lands a hard strike to Musk’s head before anyone knows what’s happening and Musk hits the canvas like a sack of garbage and Zuck gets arrested for manslaughter on the grounds that he took the match way too seriously instead of treating it as the goofy spectacle Musk intended, and the companies’ loss of both men causes them to crater and evaporate.

Hey, a boy can dream.

I find your ideas intriguing and would like to subscribe to your newsletter.

Last May Zuck won a gold and a silver medal at the Silicon Valley Brazillian Jui-Jitsu (BJJ) competition. Coming in behind Zuck was Vijay Hanumantha Raju, a 33-year-old software engineer at Uber. It was his first tournament, and he had a great time. Interview: This Is What It’s Like to Lose a Jiu-Jitsu Match to Mark Zuckerberg | GQ

Last month Zuck was promoted to Blue Belt. Congratulations to him for all his hard work! Look Out, Musk: Zuckerberg Is Now a Blue Belt in Jiu-Jitsu

I think Zuck would win, but I can’t say I’m rooting for him. What I’m hoping for is cancellation or indefinite procrastination of this ridiculous event: I may get my wish. I think billionaires and CEOs have better things to do.

Here’s a pregame analysis: Here's Who Would Win In Elon Musk Vs Mark Zuckerberg MMA Fight

I choose a slightly different version of @Cervaise’s fantasy match. They both stand around talking shit at each other as the crowd boos. Zuck the Schmuck decides the trash-talk is over and comes over to Musk, who is frozen, as he can’t believe anyone would actually -hit- him. Musk takes a simple straight kick to the gut and goes down whimpering and whining.

Zuck backs up, and has a moment of human emotion, for beating down the man-child, and turns his back to walk back to his corner. Elon, as always egged on by a chance to attack someone weaker or vulnerable, gets up and jumps on Zuck’s back, pulling hair and trying to claw out the eyes.

The both end up on the floor fighting like 5 year olds until Zuck gets a moment and break’s Elon’s fingers and ends it with an arm to his throat.

Elon gets to spend the next few months in physical therapy but will sadly not be able to use 3/4 of his fingers or speak ever again. Zuck and Elon spend the next 5 years fighting in court over who is more responsible, and the world as a whole as a result realizes what horrible individuals they both are, and they are finally shunned they way they should be.

The problem with your fantasy is that Zuck would skate on a “he needed killin’” defense. No jury in the universe would convict.

I’m hoping for the event to take place, but one pulls a muscle and the other has their back give out, and they are led away on stretchers before even engaging each other.

(Yeah, I know, they’re probably both in much better shape than that, but as long as I’m just imagining stuff…)

If Musk got a punch in, I’d fully expect to see some of Zuck’s circuitry spill out.

Or, both companies, freed from the burden of their massive egos, prosper beyond the wildest dreams of their creditors and stockholders.
