Now THIS is BEER!

Just had my first pour of Samuel Smith Tadcaster Oatmeal Stout. Ye gods!

Just about everything from Samuel Smith is fantastic. Try their Old Brewery Pale Ale sometime.

Sam Smith’s rocks. The oatmeal stout is my standard accompaniment to pizza.

And if you’re getting it at BevMo, word to the wise: TJs is cheaper.

I got it at Trader Joe’s, actually, on an employee’s recommendation.

Hah, well done, fetus! Cheers!

I’m often chastised for drinking that unholiest of beers, Budweiser. But, at one point in time I drank microbrews pretty much exclusively except when circumstances prevented it. I’ve got gout and now there is either a psychosomatic or actual feeling of joint stiffness when drinking such beer, and extremely hoppy beers no longer have much appeal to me.

That said, I will still savor and drink a Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout.

FWIW, at first I thought you were telling me to get it in Tijuana and I was quite confused.

I always thought Samuel Smith’s Winter Welcome, a seasonal ale was pretty tasty also. It’s got a crazy psychedelic label unlike the rest of Sam Smith’s lineup. It should be coming out pretty soon.
