If you’ve tried something new in brew, review.
Right now I am sipping(at 8.3% alcohol, you sip) Gigantic Brewing Company End Of Reason beer. Only slightly hoppy, with a sweet aftertaste that has hints of cherry and a ghost of mint.
edited to add: My Beloved says it’s a beer she would drink…and she’s not really into beer-she’s a cider connoisseur.
It makes me feel like a bad Oregonian, but Sam Adams Winter Lager is one of the best brown ales I’ve had in a while. Plus, it’s on a deep discount at the store right now. Mmmm.
Have you ever had the best?
Please. I live in the Rogue Valley. I pee into the the Rogue River Watershed. I know Rogue Beers. (And that’s a damn fine beer.)
Schmaltz Brewing collaborated with Terrapin to produce Reunion Ale 12. A dark ale with cocoa nibs, cinnamon, and vanilla. Had a bomber with dinner (corned beef and colcanon!)
Calapooia Brewing Co. Chili Beer.
DON"T DRINK THIS!!
Blue point Brewing Company: Sour Cherry Imperial Stout. Quite sour. Wish I could afford this more often.
"Lagunitas Sucks Brown Shugga’ Substitute Ale. I don’t know where my roommate found this, but she can’t drink it, and I may not either. This is the bitterest brown ale I’ve ever had.
Had it on tap a couple weeks ago and loved it.
If you say so. I like malty beers, not hoppy ones. It’s like a brown IPA.
Tetley’s Smoothflow Light British Ale.
Meh. Maybe 3 stars out of 5. Not repulsive, but not great either. Better than Coors, at least. Nitro canned. Nice head, but the flavors fade quickly.
