Can you be sure those same criticisms do not apply to yourself? :dubious:
Yes, as he did not glorify God, but credits himself.
How about the first one, where you rebuke him, in the name of Jesus nonetheless, for having a different understanding than yours of the Scriptures? How do you know you’re not the benighted, perhaps demon-controlled, one? And when did Jesus authorize you to speak for him?
Well I’ll be. Somebody finally got kb a little pissy. Frankly, I’m not sure that “I rebuke you in the name of Jesus” has the same visceral impact as calling somebody a cuntlapper.
But, y’know…
In any case is God a natural born citizen? I suppose since he’s everywhere in all times he’s the ultimate citizen of every country but good luck getting the “original” papers…
snark aside: kanicbird, WHAT *objective proof *would satisfy you that Obama IS who he says he is? IS there ANY objective proof that would?
You think you’ve got it bad! **Broomstick **tried to saddle we Pagans with him a few pages back! I’ve got a doubly whammy to deal with.
Careful with that name; you’ll wear it out.
Seriously, y’know how there are always some people arguing your “side” that you really wish would just STFU because they’re making you look bad? I’ve just received a revelation that Jesus feels that way about kanicbird. Poor Jesus.
Purely out of curiosity, I looked up Luke 4:10-11, just to see if it was really about taking verses out of context, and here’s what I found:
So, kanicbird, how does the Lord Jesus feel about people who make stuff up in his name?
Acts 26:14:
“And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.”
One of my faves.
Wait, so quoting anything in the Bible without adding the book, verse and chapter is a tool of the Devil ?! Daymn.
You know, this whole Christianism stuff is trickier than I thought. It’s almost Final Fantasy-ish, the amount of miscellaneous shit that’s not in the Book itself you have to know to not lose.
I guess The Waterboy is now part of The Word.
“Benjamin Franklin is the Devil!”
Oh, I believe that one. At least, my Microbiology teacher let us know in no uncertain terms that not providing a reference for every thing we assert (even should it be, “water had a tendency to be wet”) is a Grave Moral Sin.
Then again, if the Bible is the word of G-d, and so much of the New Testament reeks of the stories of Horus and Odin, that must mean G-d is a plagiarist, so maybe he’s not so picky about the footnotes.
doubtful Did he provide a cite ?
I’m pretty sure Jesus said
“Help! Help! I’m being rebuked!”
Come and see the hypocrisy inherent in the system!
It still belongs on the list of Doper catchphrases, though.
It was not his understanding, but the authority he was claiming.
If this is a serious question, you will need to seek God with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding and He will reveal it to you.
Since I surrendered my life to Him
Once I have been given divine revelation there is no worldly ‘proof’ that would suffice. And I have been given that to the extent that there are major spiritual issues and Obama does not have full authority. I don’t know however if he is totally a figurhead, or still has some authority.
But that said, I don’t really care. I am under grace, not the law. My Father will protect me and provide for me no matter what man or demon runs this country.
Which is different from the authority you’re claiming in what way?
I was asking you how *you *know. Unless, that is, you’re quite sure that you alone are God’s One Chosen Voice here. Are you? How do you know?
So have many, many others, including, I dare say, Eutychus. How is it that there is still disagreement among you? Is it at all possible that you’re simply mistaken in your interpretations of His will?
On edit, never mind, there’s no point. You say you have been given “divine revelation” that Obama is controlled by demons. No discussion is therefore possible.
It’s more effective however. If they come at me with human explanations they are easy to dismiss, but if the try to wield the sword without divine inspiration I have no problem taking them down as instructed in the Word (2 Tim 3:16, 4:2)
