nuke texas

why were protesters were waving the sign “nuke Texas” when they were wanting peace? Isn’t that hypocritical?

I don’t want to nuke Texas, but I do want to know if we can force them to use that “optional secession” clause I’ve heard rumors about…

Maybe they’re Mutant Texas fans?

I beleive they did nuke Waco once or twice in the '50’s, or it least that’s how it looks to me. There’s seriously something wrong about that city. It looks like something out Mad Max only more run-down and with Baptists instead of motorcycle gangs.

Hey! Waco ain’t so bad, but I’m used to such snooty comments coming from somebody from [voice dripping with disgust]Austin[/vdwd].

Besides, the Baptists just control a very, very small corner of the town; the rest of the town is just as sleazy as Austin!

Yeah, and we kinda hope Cali falls into the ocean.

Florida can fall off with it…

Austin’s not sleazy…but it’s gotten a lot worse in the last 15 years. ya want sleazy, honey, try Houston! (Or Corpus Christi)

No one ever said these anti-war protestors had a shred of intelligence.

Well surely they didn’t mean it seriously and literally. I think it’s a joke, if not a very good one.

**Thanks for making that leap of logic, **SLASH… **
*It’s called irony, people. *

I should have addressed that to Achernar, sorry.

You’d get my vote for nuking San Antonio. Kidding, 'twas an inside joke anyway

Nah. Urban legend. No such clause in the current Texas Constitution.

I saw a protestor recently who had a sign that read:

“Bomb Texas, they have oil too”

Perhaps the ‘Nuke Texas’ sign was an attempt at a similar witticism?

You know, just because we’re protesting a war doesn’t mean we don’t have a sense of humor. Sheesh. Don’t take everything you read on a sign so seriously - one of the best remarks I saw at an anti-war rally was “Make bigger ketchup packets, not war.”
