As promised, I’ve renewed the league. Everyone that played last year should get an invitation at the email address you used to sign up. There is no limit to the number of players, everyone is welcome. We’re doing confidence point scoring.

Odd that the tiebreaker is the score of the National Championship game. It can’t be entered until Jan 2nd.

I think they really need to reduce the number of bowl games next year. Way too many of the things.

Absolutely! I’ve pared down the list of the ones I plan to watch at least the start of to 16. Mostly SEC (homer!) games and the CFP set.

I guess as long as they’re getting big money from ESPN they don’t much care if the stands are empty, but it’s sad to see just a few hundred people at the things.

Way, way too many. 38 bowl games (39 if you count the championship game). That means 76 teams get bowl invites, over 60% of all the FBS division teams. At this rate, they’ll have to start letting 5 win teams play in games soon.

Maybe they should require 8 wins to be bowl eligible…but there’s too much money involved for that to happen…

The number of bowl games doesn’t bother me.

These kids have been practicing hard for almost 6 months, with “Two-a-Days” in August. Plus most of them are not Marcus Marioti and Jameis Winston. and most of them are actually studying and progressing to a degree.

If they can go to some minor bowl like the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl and get some SWAG, who am I to say they cannot go.
But 39 bowl games was a lot of games to pick in this pool. That is way too many. 25 is plenty. It took me about a half hour to do it…and it was all instinct. No research.

Yeah, gotta admit I just went with my gut on the picks this year. Guess I’m sorta burned out at this point. I still care about Mississippi State and Alabama (and to a lesser extent the rest of the SEC), but I just couldn’t muster up much giveadamn for Whosit State vs Dunnoem U in the CorporateSponsor ™ Bowl.
