I suppose you could probably pick as few as you wish, or none at all, but picking less than all 35 would put you at a disadvantage against someone who picks em all.
If you pick none, you’d score zero for the week. We are dropping the lowest week for scoring purposes.
I do not know, but I the number of games will vary each week.
I expect the number of games will vary from week to week. I’m open to eliminating the yahoo default ones, if a majority of players want to reduce the number of games, and assuming the yahoo system will allow me to change the settings.
Is it because it’s being played tonight that the South Carolina game isn’t in the picks? I had it marked to be DVR’ed while we watch Big Brother evictions but now I’ve taken it off in favor of DVRing the Titans pre-season game.
WKRN is still showing some regular programming in that slot on Comcast. Any idea why that’s the case? They (Channel 2) have covered all three of the other pre-season things, even when ESPN had Monday Night Football coverage of the other home game.
I was all set to join, but not with confidence picking. Too much work. I don’t mind picking with point spread; but for me to give confidence ratings would require a lot of luck on my part. Sorry, Oak.
I’m glad I read this again a little while ago. I hurried back and redid my confidence numbers to swap ends with the ones I’m very iffy on and the ones I feel pretty solid with. Hate to start off not getting any credit for things because I misread the rules!
As for the Yahoo! Default thing, all I really pay much attention to is:
SEC
Other Top 25 teams
Other Tennessee teams
Other Alabama teams
I would be glad to see the pick’em games reduced to my (1) and (2) categories.
It is too late, this being Friday night prior to a full slate of games for Saturday, to change the picks for this week. Picks for this week stand as is.
After the conclusion of scoring for this week’s picks, I will see if the yahoo system will allow changes to the games to be picked each week. If so, I will remove the Yahoo Default slate of games, leaving the Top 25 and SEC games to be picked each week.
with 35 games there’s much that could be best classified as outright guessing, combined with voodoo spells for the schools you like to cheer against - but it’s still great FUN!!!
Later in the season, when the cream rises to the top, that means I won’t have to pick any Big 10 games at all!! Yippee!
{/Running and screaming from the poison arrows and darts being flung my way}
It does not matter. It takes less time to screw up 25 picks than 35.
Samford What is that? I thought FSU was playing Stanford. I thought what a good game to start the season. crap Gotta pay more attention.
