Outstanding! We are now full, so it’s time to talk about a draft date. Tuesdays and Thursdays are bad for me, but any other day is fine.
The season opens a week fron this coming Thursday, so we need to be done by then. If anybody has days when they definitely can’t draft, please post them. I’d like to pick a draft date, and possibly an alternate–because I think Yahoo only allows a certain number of drafts to happen at the same time–by Wednesday at the latest.
How about this Friday? One week before seems good.
I normally won’t be able to draft Mondays or Thursdays, and this Tuesday is bad for me too, but Wednesday isn’t terrible if Friday doesn’t work.
I cannot make next Sunday, 9/1, or Monday 9/2. I also have another SDMB draft on Thursday night. Everything else is open.

I’m Pacific. I’m pretty flexible time-wise. I’ll work with whatever the consensus is, though if it has to be a weekday I’d prefer after 6PM if possible otherwise I’ll still be at the office. Which will be fine I’ll just have to let the autopick make the occasional selection.
I’m pretty flexible for time as well, being a left-coaster. I have a set of questions though, to follow, regarding auto-pick. That being said, throw the dart at the date-board.
Best advice I can give about auto-pick—don’t do it. The live draft is fun, and auto-pick tends to make some very strange choices, especially in a non-standard league like this one.
Any day or time is good for me.
I’m Central Time, so evenings work for me. Or weekends work for me as well.
I’m no good for Tuesdays or Thursdays, because I have class.

OK, I haven’t seen any objections to Friday, so I’ve set our draft for Friday, August 30, at 7:30 PM Central.

Draft is done.
I did…meh. I am not thrilled with my team, but there are a lot of high upside guys on it. If a couple of them hit I should be in good shape.
I missed some guys I wanted, but I’ve got Brady and Ryan at QB, Cruz, Colston, and Jones at WR, Bush and Eddie Lacy (reach, but has potential I think/hope) at RB, Tony Gonzalez at TE, and a choice of Ingram, Sidney Rice, Green-Ellis, Lance Moore, Brandon Pettigrew, and Shon Greene available at WR/RB/TE. Bradford as backup QB. Saints DEF (yeah I’m a homer, but I like what I saw in preseason), and Hartley K. My bye weeks are staggered to the point that I can always field a full team, without having to replace anybody but my K and DEF.
On the downside, with my default starting lineup, I’m a 30 point underdog against Lorem Ipsums in Week 1.

Yeah, the new “Report Card” feature is awesome…but it says I suck, and am projected to finish 7th in the league.
