It’s another ploy by the Rovian Republicans to invoke black fear. In the first linked photo, Obama is going for the kiss on the cheek, but not there yet. The angle of the photographer makes it look like he’s going for lip lock. In the second, there is a miss, but he gets her on the jaw, just below the lips. The real reason it came out like this is that most Americans just aren’t very good at the air/cheek kiss. The reasons that some Republican spinmeisters want to play this up is to touch on subliminal racist fears.
Of course we’re all to bright here to fall for that kind of crap, right?

i agree on the lip thing. most of the time lip smack is for so types. i didn’t see parent/child lip kiss until i was in high school and a friend’s mom kissed him goodbye. i thought it was odd.
i’m also not fond of all the kissing going on when people are interviewed on shows. if there must be touching just shake.
Just within the past week I saw a .gif of Obama and the Clintons. It appears to have been at the end of some event when everyone is standing and clapping; Bill goes to give Hillary a kiss and at the last second she turns and give Obama a hug(or kiss, I can’t quite remember). It cracked me up, but for the life of me I can’t remember where I saw it. I don’t think I saved it either, unless it’s on my home comp, but I doubt it.
Anyone else seen this thing? I won’t say I’m not crazy, but I do know I saw this.
