I was surprised to find myself feeling a great sense of relief. I would have expected the news to be too abstract to affect me emotionally. I even teared up a little.
I was slightly annoyed that they cut off the end of my show just for endless blather when the real news announcement wasn’t happening for another hour. Wow they like to talk even when there’s nothing to say.

You really have your facts wrong on this one. Obama campaigned on ramping UP the effort in Afghanistan, and on finding Bin Laden. He was clear and consistent on that point.
