Ever since former President Eisenhower’s daughter appeared on “Real Time with Bill Maher,” I have been concerned. When we elected President Obama, I thought we were getting a real liberal, but to me “mediocre” best describes the Obama presidency to this life long liberal.
The Eisenhower Institute sees President Obama as very much an “Eisenhower Moderate.” Ike believed in something similar to the Affordable Care Act that President Obama wanted.
I would call it a very pragmatic problem to be a Democrat and watch a Democratic President playing poker with the BIG 3. I am not alone the polls as well as Ed Schultz, (The Ed Show), and Bill Maher (Real Time), said it first. Believe me I wish this was an argument I would lose. Maybe at the last minute the president will tell the liberal base in the Democratic Party that it was all a ploy to attract independent voters. I am afraid that is a long shot.

You would do well to remember that when you point a finger, the other three are pointing at yourself.

While I am not from Chicago, I have read a great deal about politics in that city. The Chicago fire of 1971 made socialism the rule of the day. People who feathered their own nests during the fire received justice quickly and violently. I am pretty much a Chicago Democrat, as is our president.
Practical, **liberal **Democrats get things done. In the 1960s Chicago Democrats built O’hare Airport, and designed it well for future use. It is efficient today. Lake Shore Drive brought express driving to Lake Michigan and Chicago’s north side. Chicago was “Yes we can” long before Obama. So, while my fellow liberals are debating the lint in their navels, and conservatives are trying to turn back the hands of time, we practical liberal **Democrats **are getting progressive things done with a focus on long term planning.
Honestly, we don’t care what the arm-chair liberals think, we have their votes on lock down. $5 says the Obama 2012 DNC bumper sticker on my Jeep will not be removed until it is replaced with a Hillary Clinton, (hmmmm…another Chicagoan) bumper sticker in 2016. Duh!
