Obama In A Turban

The Democrats need to learn a thing or two from the Republicans about winning elections. The Republicans already have their nominee in the basket and are fawning all over their front runner. The Democrats, on the other hand, are attacking each other like two pit bulls while their opponents just sit back and smile.

If anyone thinks that the Democrats have this thing sown up, no matter which one of these two is nominated, you should remember Hilary’s line last night when asked by Tim Russert why, instead of delivering on her promise to add 5m jobs to NY, there was a net loss of jobs during her tenure:

“Because I assumed Al Gore would be President.”

:smack:

I get a sinking feeling that she assumes a flea will beat the Republican nominee. She is wrong.

There are people in this country who won’t vote for Obama because of this photo. If HRC’s camp, did indeed, release this photo, then the Democratic leadership needs to smack her down. They can differentiate themselves from each other without hitting below the belt.

I don’t know how many of you “Dopers” visit ultra-conservative websites, message boards, etc but it is spooky.
Are there voters out there who would not vote for Obama just because of this photo? Darned tootin’ !! Actually, I should rephrase that because such people already decided against Obama long before that photo ever surfaced.

How come there wasn’t the same outcry from the reactionary right when this photo of George Dubya Bush was in the news a few years ago? To me, it “obviously” proves that Dubya is promoting a pro-gay agenda, and endearing himself to the Middle Eastern, “Death To The Infidels” ragheads so that they now can charge $100 per barrel for their oil.

According to my numerous contacts within the Saudi gay community, the “hand holding” gestures reflect a coded signal. GeeDub’s hand configuration suggests that he is, by inclination, a “top”, but is willing to adopt the “bottom” role if his “dinner and a show” requirements are met.

That pic of Obama just looks so…dull. Couldn’t they at least have photoshopped some rifles and clock wires in the background?

I wouldn’t even have known it was Obama. It just looks like two guys at a mosque, going through the motions, hoping they get out in time to watch the opening kickoff.

Well, I’m offended by this picture of George Bush in a kimono!

Is that what it is? I thought he couldn’t decide whether to dress up as a wizard or a clown.

“Obama in a turban
I know, I know
It’s really seeerrioooousss…”

To be sung to “Girlfriend in a Coma” by The Smiths

I don’t think we live on the same planet.

“Fawning” over McCain? You have got to be kidding.

Linky

I’ve gone beyond disgusted by the whole campaign process do downright nauseated. This is stupidity at it highest.

Not Obama in a turban! Ohs Noes!

FWIW, I don’t like Sen. Obama’s politics, and wouldn’t vote for him anyway. But even if I were a left-leaning fence-sitter that couldn’t make up my mind between Sens. Clinton or Obama, this photo would sway me not one whit.

What’s really sad is that there are Americans for whom it will.

So the guy dressed up in some native garb; HEL-LO! He’s African-American!

[/QUOTE]

No, he’s not. He was born in this country and he does not hold dual citizenship with a nation located on the African continent.

I may be the lone voice crying in the wilderness, but I am fucking sicking and tired of this ignorant-ass, PC bullshit. If you absolutely must refer to him in terms of his skin color, call him black. But he is NOT an African-American.

I would wait to see if anyone even cares before I get outraged over this. It’s sleazy that HRC has stooped to this level, but more than sleazy I think it’s desperate, and therefore in a way kind of sad.

So have they figured out where it came from… shouldn’t be that hard to get to the bottom of it.
