Obama press conference on Friday the 16th at 2:15pm EST

David Yankovich – ‏@DavidYankovich

Obama press conference tomorrow will be the biggest event in American history… If he does what it’s looking like. I’d watch.

I was at work, and didn’t see the press conference. This thread hasn’t revealed anything earth-shattering. I don’t know who Yankovich is, but did he make this prediction while squeezing an accordion and breathing through a clown nose? Jeez.

Is this a lame new meme?

Yup, I was glued to my seat for the entire electrifying event. Truly, as advertised above, the biggest event in American history. My grandkids will certainly want to know where I was at 4:00 PM on December 16th, 2016.

Democrats need spine. Plain & simple.

We lose because our leaders have lost all fight. It’s time to change the Democratic party.

And:

This indeed was the most historic press conference of history

Hindsight will show this as the moment Obama’s legacy ended & he walked away.

He sounds hurt.

If Yankovich walks away, will his shoes honk, I wonder.

thumbs up

I watched the whole thing. Glad I won’t have to waste any more time on Obama press conferences in the future.

Or any press conferences, it looks like.

And I don’t spend time reading Twitter, so this is a win-win for me.

Maybe for you…Personally, I don’t buy into that “ignorance is bliss” crap.

Make sure to save tomorrow’s newspapers for their headlines regarding coverage of the event.

This thread, and several others which have shown up after the election on this message board, show that there are people who are willing to promulgate the most patent nonsense. Why is someone reading what David Yankovich says in the first place?

There are 300+M people in the United States. Very few of them have opinions which are worth paying attention to. Sadly, many with opinions that shouldn’t be noticed at all are able to get people to click some link on Teh Intarwebz and pay attention to them, and worse, to get these opinions forwarded to others. It’s a sad commentary on our society, if you ask me, that intelligent people do this.

Gotta admit, Barack Obama’s cordiality is his greatest weakness as much as it’s his greatest strength.

I was soooo hoping he would say something like: “Donald Trump’s a big poppyhead and you should all be ashamed for electing him!” You could tell he was totally thinking it.

(Now, what am I gonna do with all these canned goods and shotguns?)

You know. . . this is unfair.

I can’t understand what you and I are seeing so differently. Obama, while I am not a fan of many of his views on the proper role of government, is manifestly intelligent, introspective, and well-informed.

Trump is not. He’s not a drooling cretin, of course, despite the attempts to paint him as such, but you cannot possibly believe that he and Obama are in the same league in terms of analytical ability and intellectual depth. Do you?

You’re clearly in shock. It’s okay, I think we all are. An event like this takes time to process. Stay strong.

And a chunk of them post those opinions here. Including yourself.

Its like fly-over country but with an open bar on the airplane.

No, I do not. Trump is ignorant, about a lot of things. Obama is ignorant about a relatively few things, and generally seems to keep his mouth shut when he doesn’t know something.

Two words: Spam skeet.

Trump seems pretty happy.
