Mostly pecs, maybe a tiny bit of flab. Take it from a guy roughly Senator Obama’s age, he looks well-muscled for his age. Since that sounds like a left-handed compliment, I’ll add that he seems to be in good shape compared to the average guy of ANY age. But the sad fact is that the older we get, the more difficult it is to maintain the “perfect” bod. Harder to maintain muscle, harder to keep off body fat. And gravity starts to exert a long-term influence.
I work out chest twice a week, I can bench over 300, I run 4 or 5 times a week (including a half marathon in November), and my pecs (and the rest of my body) still aren’t as tightly muscled and fat-free as I’d like. And they’re not likely to be, given my age and the amount of time and effort I can dedicate to my body’s maintenance. I’m betting Obama may have even more distractions than me.
He looks like he’s in great shape to me. The shirtless picture of me on the fridge doesn’t look anywhere near that good. (That’s why it’s on the fridge.)
Lower your fork slowly, and step away from the pasta
They’re pecs…the way you can tell is he has very little body fat elsewhere.
I wish mine were like that. I lift weights like a sunuvabitch, but mine just don’t get big. My brother told me he barely works at his, and his are huge.
I’ve read that he’ll be our first sitting president who could make a living dancing on tables. Now, I believe it.
But yeah, definitely pecs, and very good ones for a man his age, too. It’s not that big square look some guys get, but I’ve seen pecs like that on men before.
I wanted to post some pictures of other men’s chests for comparison, but found it rather difficult to find many chests that weren’t sporting a bodybuilder look. (But one of the OP’s links did eventually lead to a slideshow of shirtless presidents.)
