Obama v. McCain: Start your engines!

Some discussion fodder – I came across this earlier today using StumbleUpon, and it seems fairly unbiased to me: Obama & McCain: Tax Views of the Next President. It presents five categories, sums up the two candidates’ positions, then gives a paragraph description of the difference between them.

I don’t reckon myself qualified to comment on the content, but nothing in there sways me from Obama, while some things make McCain even less palatable to me than before. I’m looking forward to reading the responses…

Obama has said he would have his AG “immediately review” the information currently available to see if investigations are warrented.

When McCain was asked about Bush’s illegal wiretapping he said “It’s ambiguous as to whether the president acted within his authority or not” He also said he wasn’t interesed in going back, but going foward.

There’s a major policy difference that will sure fall along party lines. Which, I think, is bad for McCain since the Republican “brand” has lost it’s luster.

Don’t count on that.

Bricker and WeirdDave early on both made posts with perfectly valid and credible reasons for one to support McCain.

Well, there was one really clever post about how Obama probably can’t see in the infra-red spectrum. Perhaps we’re supposed to assume that means McCain can?

Think of his ability to detect lies in those he faces! Maybe he won’t sit across from Vladamir Putin and then come out saying “Great guy. He’s gonna do a good job and really cares about dem’crusy.”

If the SDMB was a good proxy for the American electorate, maybe. How similar do you think the two groups are?

Evidence that he was referring to the rest of the world and not the SDMB?
