Obscure Songs IDs Needed Please (Velvet Underground?)

There’s two songs I’m tyring to find out the names of and who did them. The first, I don’t really remember much about. All I can remember is that the song has kind of an S&M feel to it, and that the last lines of the song are, “Releasing her, just like Jesus.” Any ideas?

The other song is about a guy who is eating dinner and notices something wrong with his eye. He goes home and puts an eyepatch over the eye. Some time later when he removes the eyepatch, he finds that there’s a minature vagina instead of the eye. Last line of this song is, Plunging forward, hungry for the cold light of day."

The second one is John Cales The Jeweller from Slow Dazzle.

On the first song, a search on Google brings up:

Unfortunately, the person who put up the page did not list either song title or album. A little bit of research shows that he performed with Rocket From the Tombs, Dead Boys, and Lords of the New Church.

Wow! Thanks, I think the second one is The Lords of the New Church. Not sure, but that’s definately the correct lyrics.

There is a Velvet Underground song about S&M too and it’s a great one. It’s called Venus in Furs but it doesn’t have the line that you mentioned.

yeah, that’s pretty much the long and short of it.

I was amused when I saw that the link was directed at my site. Then embarrased at the omission/misspelling of stiv’s name.
