This evening, I watched a couple in a Prius cruising the Wal-Mart parking lot as they searched for the closest spot.
They at least did not commit the cardinal sin of holding up a bunch of people, at least some of whom, like me, have no problem parking farther out, while they wait for someone with a full cart to unload, return the cart, and then vacate the parking space. They started to do that, but when I pulled up behind them in the parking lane, they decided to make another circuit rather than holding me up.
But still…the folks that got out of the Prius after they snagged a close spot seemed quite able-bodied.
