Okay, first weekend doesn’t work for me, because if I’m there that soon I’m going to be busy hanging curtains and such to get my new place in order. Really…that’s what I’m going to be doing and I’m afraid it can’t wait. Curtains don’t just hang themselves you know.
Third weekend I might could make it, but I’m not sure…I’ve got plans to meet up with Globetrotter in October but we haven’t finalised dates.
Sooooo…how 'bout we start making tentative plans to have another big blow out sometime in January or February when Cheesy Poof can come, maybe Snormy and Shayna, too? That’ll give all the other Eurodopers time to plot and scheme their way there as well. Does that sound good to everybody?

Due to needing to keep as much of my leave as possible to spend with a certain poster here ( my beloved Una :)) & the cost of transatlantic tickets and needing a new boiler that won’t try to kill me … I won’t be able to make it to a DubDobe anytime in the near future (or not so near future either). Oh, & I have those pesky exam things in October again. Hangovers and exams are probably not a good combination.
A londondope would be good (depending on the dates, I’ve already posted potential unavailability in September in mrblue’s thread), but a londoner needs to organise it. Despite the fact that Americans think we all live in London (ouch! hey guys, I was kidding!!! :D), I don’t know London that well, so couldn’t pick anywhere for it.
I don’t mind suggesting locations for a London Dope, but I feel a bit bad since the last British get-together was London as well, and it’s taking the mickey a bit to expect the non-London contingent to travel and book accommodation again.
If people are still interested I’m happy to scout around.
Crusoe - there’s a thread around about a yorkshire dope (28th July, so you still have time), so it’s not that much of a mickey-take (& I have the same issues with a yorkshire dope as I do with a dubdope, still only worth going if you go for a weekend, so time off work, but minus cost of airfare, & replace with railfare instead…oh & I’m stuck in Durham this weekend on an Open University summer school anyway).

As for Dublin. If the first weekend is out, I can prolly only make the third weekend in October, but I would still be up for coming over then. So, what do you think Twisty, yojimbo, tatertot, burnmeup, ruadh, kferr and everyone else?
I’m completely flexible when it comes to dates for dopefests. My motto (which I wish I could claim to have made up) is No wives, no kids, no pets, no problems!.

I’ll be in London on the 13th/14th/15th of August, if anyone is able to meet up for a few quiet halves of mild, I’d be interested. Its mid week, but a few quiet ones wont hurt!!
Well, I live in Oxford, it’s no great hardship for me to hop on a train and head for London…
(Thinks: I have a choice between Virgin Rail [insert hollow laughter here] and the Thames Turbo Express, which is usually two overcrowded carriages, stopping at every station, stray cat, and empty crisp packet between here and Paddington…)
